As the summer season comes to a close later this year, diners and restaurateurs will be gearing up for the premier and much anticipated River Cities Restaurant Week.
With so much culinary variety to offer and a dining scene that just keeps getting better – from new restaurants, old favorites, acclaimed chefs, world-class menus – it’s only fitting that Little Rock and North Little Rock should devote two weeks to indulging diners with the best food at great prices.
This 15-day culinary celebration will take place Aug. 15-30, 2008. Participating restaurants will offer three-course, prix fixe menus for $35 at dinner and $20 at lunch.
More than just a chance to enjoy fine cuisine, River Cities Restaurant Week also gives people a chance to support a wonderful organization.
A donation of $5 per meal will be given to the Arkansas Hospice Foundation for individuals who order off of the Restaurant Week menu. This support will allow Arkansas Hospice to continue providing services to enhance the quality of life for those facing terminal illness and grief by surrounding them with love and embracing them with the best in physical, emotional and spiritual care.
River Cities Restaurant Week is expected to become a major annual event that the cities will come to cherish. In addition to stimulating business for participating restaurants, the event will raise the visibility and perception of the Little Rock/North Little Rock culinary and dining scene.
The event is designed to ensure that restaurant participants may be found all across Little Rock and North Little Rock. Diners can expect to be treated to tantalizing tastes every night, with each restaurant serving up its own distinct flavor and menu.
A list of participating restaurants, along with their Restaurant Week menus, will be available soon at www.rcrestaurantweek.com.
