Campaign Developments - What's Happened, What's Going On...
Environmental impact studies have been completed – when funding is complete, street planning and building design will be submitted for final approval by the city.
Bonded financing is no longer an option; to be financially sustainable the project must be debt-free.
Clinical staff, architects and volunteeers have collaborated to identify elements needed in the new hospice home to maximize patient/family comfort, staff efficiency and a personal, home environment.
Total cost of land, site improvements, construction and furnishings will be no more than $3,000,000.
To sustain operations against future Medicare cuts, an initial endowment of $4,000,000 will be created.
The total cost to build and endow the hospice home and services is $7,000,000.
We continue to seek foundation support.
