Meet Chloe

Hello! My name is “Chloe” Mays, and I’m the new recruit on Arkansas Hospice’s animal therapy team. I have been working with my “mom” Shannon as a trained therapy dog at Arkansas Children’s Hospital since 2001.

I’m very excited to begin seeing patients at the Arkansas Hospice Inpatient Center in North Little Rock. When Shannon’s grandmother was there, I used to go visit and I thought that everyone there was so nice — they always seemed happy to see me!

Sometimes I’d meet someone who said they didn’t care for dogs a lot, but usually they’d start to pet me and eventually I won most of them over! I really enjoy the attention and treats they give me, but the people I visit seem to enjoy it as much as I do.

I’m so happy I can share a little “puppy love!”
