Meet Chloe

Hello! My name is “Chloe” Mays, and I’m the a recruit on Arkansas Hospice’s animal therapy team. I have been working with my “mom” Shannon as a trained therapy dog at Arkansas Children’s Hospital since 2001.

I’m very excited to see patients at the Arkansas Hospice Inpatient Center. When Shannon’s grandmother was there, I used to go visit and I thought that everyone there was so nice — they always seemed happy to see me!

Sometimes I’d meet someone who said they didn’t care for dogs a lot, but usually they’d start to pet me and eventually I won most of them over! I really enjoy the attention and treats they give me, but the people I visit seem to enjoy it as much as I do.

I’m so happy I can share a little “puppy love!”
