Hospice training is conducted by professionals and volunteers and is open to anyone who wants to learn about hospice and is interested in volunteering.

Topics include:
* history & philosophy of
hospice
* concepts of death & dying
* care & comfort measures
* spirituality
* communication skills
* bereavement issues
Certified volunteers are eligible to be assigned to a hospice patient/family, if they wish. There is no cost for this training and it is held at Arkansas Hospice offices throughout the year.
