Arkansas Hospice, Arkansas Palliative Care, and Arkansas Hospice Foundation Response to Covid-19 Coronavirus
The safety and well-being of our patients and staff is our top priority. For this reason, we are taking the following steps in view of the potential spread of Coronavirus in Arkansas, as well as other infectious diseases.
The Arkansas Hospice COVID-19 Taskforce is continually monitoring and enacting measured responses in staff policy and patient care to address the spread of Coronavirus in Arkansas.
Our staff and patients are being screened daily for COVID-19 (Coronavirus), as well as other infectious diseases.
Clinical and administrative staff are adhering to social distancing practices; utilizing teleconferencing for meetings and administrative work as much as possible. Visits to patients in their homes are continuing.
Our inpatient centers currently remain open, however, all visitors are being screened by our staff for possible COVID-19 infection exposure prior to entry. All visitors are encouraged to utilize the hand sanitizers stationed at the entrance of each facility.
Arkansas Hospice has and continues to adhere to a set of strenuous policies in compliance with CDC standards to help control the spread of infectious diseases.
Visitors to Arkansas Hospice patients in nursing homes and other contracted facilities are subject to the visitation policies of each facility. We are adhering to changing clinical protocols at long-term care facilities and hospitals.
We recommend all Arkansans with questions and concerns follow the definitive sources for information nationally and locally for COVID-19 updates:
