Caring for kidney or renal disease patients

Arkansas Hospice provides care for patients with kidney or renal disease and support for their families. There is a wide-range of complex diseases that we specialize in providing symptom and pain management for, as well as resource services for clinical support.

By incorporating Arkansas Hospice as part of your patient’s overall care plan, you can still direct care but with the benefits of a secondary medical team providing community-based consults in the patient’s home. The results are reduced hospital readmissions and an overall reduction on resources for your practice or clinic.

Contact your Arkansas Hospice representative to discuss advanced therapies for your patients with life-limiting illness.

  • 45% of these patients are 65 or older and receive treatment under the ESRD Medicare Benefit
  • 100,000 dialysis patients die each year – 30% elect to stop dialysis – Only 15% receive hospice care even though 98% will die within a month
