Coping with death can be difficult for children and teenagers. As a community service, Arkansas Hospice’s Hope & Healing 4 Kids Program presents “Grief Relief: Art for the Heart” workshops for children, teens and parents to help young people understand the grief they experience after the death of a loved one. This year, we also want to acknowledge the additional stress caused from so many life changes during this pandemic, as well as the isolation and range of emotions felt by both adults and children.
This April, Arkansas Hospice is pleased to present Art for the Heart virtually with a 4-week series of storytime via Zoom. Each of these free programs will last about 30 minutes, including storytime and a brief discussion followed by a fun stress-relief activity. Upon conclusion of the series, information on the featured books will be emailed to parents who would like to locate them for their families.
Art for the Heart storytime will be held on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. from April 8-29. Prior registration is required.
