FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
North Little Rock, Ark. – The Arkansas Hospice Foundation has been awarded a challenge grant of $100,000 by the Windgate Foundation designated for unrestricted program support for Arkansas Hospice. The funds will assist in operational costs to provide excellence in hospice and palliative care at a time of critical need to many individuals and their families in Arkansas.
Shannon Boshears, Vice President and Chief Philanthropy Officer of Arkansas Hospice Foundation, said, “We’re incredibly excited and honored to partner with the Windgate Foundation and receive this grant opportunity that will benefit the mission and patients of Arkansas Hospice. As the state’s largest, non-profit hospice organization, we rely on private funding to fulfill many needs when providing comfort to individuals when they are the most vulnerable.”
To kick-off the matching grant campaign, all funds raised for the upcoming Party at the Plaza event will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $100,000. Party at the Plaza will be held September 25th in the Argenta Arts District on Main Street in North Little Rock from 2:00 – 10:30 p.m. The event is open to the public, and will feature free concerts, art exhibits, kid-friendly activities, plus food and drink specials. In advance of the event, individuals are encouraged to fundraise online by creating virtual fundraising teams that will compete for weekly prizes and grand prizes at the event in September. Your entire team brought into these tender and delicate moments compassion, kindness, gentleness, thoughtfulness, and quick responsiveness.
I have nothing but the best things to say about Arkansas Hospice. They were so good to my Dad before he passed away. The love and care, compassion they showed to my dad was priceless. The nurses and CNA’s that took care of my Dad are the best and always be the best.
The skilled and professional care and attention your team gave our mother made it possible for Mom to be granted her wish to die comfortably at home.
We are just starting our dad’s final journey and Arkansas Hospice has been a blessing. They’ve taught us so much already and provide as much support and comfort to the family as they do my dad. I’m grateful they’ll be walking this final path with us.
I love Arkansas Hospice. Every single employee has a heart of gold and takes the best care of their patients.
I would not hesitate at all to recommend this provider for anyone who is considering hospice care for themselves or for a loved one.
Arkansas Hospice took care of my Mom before she passed. It was my first experience with any hospice and I was amazed. They took such great care of her. They treated her with dignity and respect until the end.
So many thanks for the way your staff treated my very dear friend, Jeff, as he raced toward the finish line. Words can’t express my gratitude for helping us to care for him and keep him comfortable. Top-notch professionalism and immediate responses to requests for assistance.
