NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Arkansas Hospice, the state’s largest non-profit provider of hospice care, has been named a 2022 recipient of the Hospice Honors Elite and Hospice Honors awards, which recognize agencies continuously providing the highest level of quality care.
The awards are presented by HEALTHCAREfirst, a software and data-gathering company that partners with thousands of hospice and home health agencies across the country. The awards are based on information analyzed from the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) hospice surveys, which are given to caregivers of hospice patients. The Hospice Honors awards were introduced in 2013, and Arkansas Hospice has been honored each year that the awards have been presented. This year, Arkansas Hospice is one of only two providers in the state to receive Hospice Honors Elite Awards, which recognize the top-performing hospices among the Hospice Honors program.
Serving 43 counties across the state, Arkansas Hospice is a not-for-profit organization caring for hundreds of seriously ill patients each day in homes, nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities and Arkansas Hospice inpatient or contracted facilities. The Hospice Honors Elite Award recognizes Arkansas Hospice’s offices and inpatient centers in Little Rock, North Little Rock, Conway, Hot Springs, Monticello, Pine Bluff and Searcy. The Hospice Honors Award recognizes the organization’s offices and inpatient centers in Berryville, Rogers and Russellville.
Award criteria were based on Hospice CAHPS survey results for an evaluation period of October 2020 through September 2021. Award recipients were identified by evaluating performance on a set of 24 quality indicator measures. Hospice Honors recipients include those hospices scoring above the HEALTHCAREfirst National Performance Score on 20 of the evaluated questions. HEALTHCAREfirst holds a special recognition, Hospice Honors Elite, to honor hospices scoring above the HEALTHCAREfirst National Performance Score on all 24 of the evaluated questions.

I have nothing but the best things to say about Arkansas Hospice. They were so good to my Dad before he passed away. The love and care, compassion they showed to my dad was priceless. The nurses and CNA’s that took care of my Dad are the best and always be the best.
We are just starting our dad’s final journey and Arkansas Hospice has been a blessing. They’ve taught us so much already and provide as much support and comfort to the family as they do my dad. I’m grateful they’ll be walking this final path with us.
I love Arkansas Hospice. Every single employee has a heart of gold and takes the best care of their patients.
I would not hesitate at all to recommend this provider for anyone who is considering hospice care for themselves or for a loved one.
Arkansas Hospice took care of my Mom before she passed. It was my first experience with any hospice and I was amazed. They took such great care of her. They treated her with dignity and respect until the end.
So many thanks for the way your staff treated my very dear friend, Jeff, as he raced toward the finish line. Words can’t express my gratitude for helping us to care for him and keep him comfortable. Top-notch professionalism and immediate responses to requests for assistance.
